My May menu is here!

Raise a toast to your friends this May!

My friends recently came to town and we had such a fun time exploring the Windy City together! Then Cheri Oteri and I made some delicious, authentic Italian recipes together and visited the Hephzibah Children’s Home. You can read all about it in my new Blame it on Biscotti article: Girls’ Night Out with Cheri Oteri and Friends. Read on for this month’s mouthwatering recipes!

Let’s get started with this month's recipes!

Hi, I'm Mary DiSomma.

I’ve been baking them since I was a little girl. In fact, my Italian-American grandmother, mother, and aunts taught me everything I know. They were my "cooking school." In the kitchens of the women in my family, I inherited the tips and tricks of the generations. I continue cooking and baking their recipes to this day. In fact, I still make over 7,000 cookies every year just to give away to family and friends during the holidays!

Measuring cups and spoons are hands down the most stunning baking utensils you will come across. They are accurate measurements, but aside from using them for baking, I enjoy having them displayed on my open shelves in my kitchen. I frequently receive compliments on them!

I highly suggest purchasing the measuring cup set. As with all of Mary’s products, every detail has been considered. The overall design is gorgeous with every cup having a distinctive pattern. The measuring amount, e.g. ½ cup is labeled on the handle which is very easy to see. The cups nest and come in exquisite packaging. I’m going to buy many more as gifts.

Ready to set the table with distinction, the four napkins are beauties. With Mary’s signature color scheme of blues, green, and purple, these linen lovelies will make any ladies' luncheon complete. Each one is large at 20" square and embroidered with four different floral designs. I can’t wait to use them. I might just show them off by tucking one in the shirt collar instead of hiding it in my lap!
