  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine cream cheese and butter. Beat on medium speed until smooth. Add sifted confectioners’ sugar and vanilla. Reduce speed to medium-low and mix until combined. If you don’t have a stand mixer, don’t worry—you can use an electric hand mixer and a mixing bowl!
