Easy Italian Dressing in a Jar
Growing up in my Italian family, we had salad at the end of the meal instead of the beginning. My mother would say, “You always need a little roughage!” We weren’t allowed to leave the table until we finished our salad. I’d say that was a good thing—I taught my children the same thing and everyone in my family loves a good salad, even today.
The Easiest Homemade Salad Dressing Recipe Ever
This Italian dressing recipe in a jar is as easy as can be! It’s the salad dressing I make most often because it’s so versatile, and because the method saves me time. You’ll combine all the ingredients in a jar and shake it up. Yes, that’s really all there is to it.

What to Serve with Your Homemade Italian Salad Dressing
My go-to salad that I love to eat with this dressing is a simple Romaine lettuce salad with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and some thinly sliced red onions. A good spinach salad comes in at a close second! Here are a few simple salad ideas for when you want to “toss” things up a bit.
