Holiday Housewalk

Join me for the Infant Welfare Society’s 2025 Holiday Housewalk on Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th

It’s almost the holiday season and I’m so excited! This really is my favorite time of year. Aside from baking tons of cookies, there are a few other traditions I love to participate in. One of them is the annual Holiday Housewalk hosted by the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society. This event is so much fun—it’s an opportunity to tour four amazing, festively decorated homes in Oak Park and River Forest, enjoy arrangements by local florists, and do some holiday shopping that gives back to a good cause.

I’ll be at the holiday market both days this year!

There will be 22 vendors at this year’s holiday market, and I’m so excited to be one of them! You’ll find us in the upstairs event space at the IWS Children’s Clinic on Madison Street in Oak Park. I’ll be there during market hours (see below) and signing cookbooks too!

Where: 28 Madison Street, Oak Park, Illinois (In the upstairs event space)

Friday, December 5th: The market is open from 5 to 9pm. My kitchen collection and cookbooks will be available all day, and I’ll be signing books from 3 to 7pm.

Saturday, December 6th: The market is open from 10am to 4pm. Again, products will be available all day, and I’ll be signing books from 3 to 7pm.

And on Saturday, I’ll show you how to make your own vanilla extract at home.

In this 15-minute demonstration, I’ll teach you how to make your own homemade vanilla extract using cognac and vanilla beans from all over the world. This is the original recipe that inspired my artisan cognac barrel-aged vanilla extract. Now you can make your own at home! Because we’re working with cognac, everyone who participates in the demonstration must be 21 years or older. You can RSVP down below!

The OPRF IWS Holiday Housewalk has been a local tradition since 1998—and for good reason.

It’s a lovely holiday event, of course, but the Holiday Housewalk is also the biggest fundraiser for the IWS Children’s Clinic every year. When you participate, you’re helping provide medical, dental, and behavioral health services to thousands of children across Chicagoland. 100% of the proceeds from my cookbook sales always support the IWS and Hepzibah Home, so even if you can’t make it to the Housewalk this year, make sure to check out my online boutique. I really do hope to see you there, though!
