Sit & Sign with Mary DiSomma at the Book Cellar December 12, 2024
Have you gotten a copy of My Life in Pies: Sweet and Savory Recipes Inspired by Family and Friends yet? Come join me at The Book Cellar during this year’s Shop Late Lincoln Square and grab a signed copy for yourself or a loved one this holiday season. You’ll also get a recipe card to take home and a little taste of some of the goodies you’ll find in the book!
Where: December 12, 2024, from 5-7pm
When: The Book Cellar (4736-38 N Lincoln Ave Chicago, IL 60625)
When you pick up a copy of My Life in Pies, you’re also supporting a good cause. 100% of the proceeds from my cookbook sales always go to local children’s charities: Hephzibah Children’s Association and the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society. You can read more about these wonderful organizations below.
If you can’t make it to Shop Late Lincoln Square, don’t worry! You can still get a signed copy of My Life in Pies at The Book Cellar later.
That’s right—I’ll be leaving a few copies of my new pie cookbook with the lovely folks at the Book Cellar. That way you can still grab a copy, even if you can’t make it to this event in person.
But you should definitely come in person if you can.
I highly recommend coming to see me in person, though! Like I mentioned earlier, I’ll have a treat or two for you to try—as well as other exclusive artisanal goods like my Cognac Barrel-aged Vanilla Extract and my designer kitchen collection. Come on by to check out my beautiful kitchen wares in real life!

Visit the Book Cellar
Since they opened in 2004, The Book Cellar has been an independent and woman-owned bookstore and cafe. They are so special because the owners create a unique experience for book lovers—whether it’s a wine tasting or a book signing, there’s always something fun going on! Located in the heart of Lincoln Square, the Book Cellar is one independent Chicago bookstore you definitely won’t want to miss.
Children’s Charities of Oak Park and River Forest
Every cent from the sale of my new cookbook goes directly to local children’s charities. Whether you buy your copy in-person or in my online boutique, all of the proceeds go to the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society and Hephzibah Children’s Association.
Hephzibah Children’s Association
Hephzibah is an organization that is so near and dear to my heart. It is the oldest social service agency in Oak Park, offering group homes for abused and neglected children, adoption services, foster care, and other family programs. They also have award-winning daycare on a sliding scale.
Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society
The Infant Welfare Society does incredible work as well. They provide healthcare services to children and families, helping them to lead healthier, safer, more productive lives from within safe environments.
