Mary’s Limoncello, Bourbon, and Honey Cocktail Recipe with a Fresh Rosemary Garnish
After my brother Erik and sister-in-law Tracy sent me a bottle of their homemade limoncello, I was hooked. It is so delicious! I love a little splash in my Prosecco, or as a little sip for dessert. It wasn’t long before I realized how easy it is to make limoncello at home—you can make your own too with Erik and Tracy’s Easy Homemade Limoncello recipe.
What is limoncello? It’s a typical drink from southern Italy. Tart and slightly sweet, this liqueur is phenomenal on its own and is a great addition to cocktail recipes. Learn more at the easy limoncello recipe link above!
Don’t have a muddling tool or cocktail shaker? Don’t worry, I’ve got an easy cocktail hack for you!
I love adding my homemade limoncello to dessert and cocktail recipes. This bourbon and honey cocktail recipe is one of my new favorites. Bonus: It’s super easy to make, even without a full bar setup at home. No cocktail shaker necessary!
All you have to do is muddle together the honey, limoncello, and fresh rosemary. The muddling is important, so don’t skip this step. If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, my easy hack is to use a glass jar with a lid. And the bottom of a wooden spoon handle makes a great muddler tool in a pinch! Next, add the bourbon and ice, put the lid on the jar, and shake. Voila! Instant cocktail shaker!
Time to garnish and serve your cocktail!
Strain the cocktail into a glass filled with ice and garnish with a thinly sliced lemon wheel and a fresh rosemary sprig. I hope you love this cocktail as much as I do… Cheers!
